NLP Concepts Series

I've put together this section because a lot of NLP is based upon a number of advanced concepts about how the human mind works.  These concepts are helpful to explore, understand and improve upon destructive human behaviors.  If you are interested in using NLP to get rid of limiting behaviors, improve your potential and reach your goals, you may find these concepts helpful.

Specific NLP Topics

I'm putting together a series of pages on the following NLP concepts and how they apply to coaching and personal improvement. It will take awhile to compile all this information, so please be patient.  If you are interested in a specific topic, please Contact Me and I'll expedite that particular topic.

Hierarchy of the Human Personality: Many people believe that their behavior is governed entirely by their conscious mind.  We know from extensive psychological and psychiatric research that this is not the case.  This page will describe the elements which DO control your behavior.  Click here to learn more.

What Is Manifestation: Many people work really hard at manifesting the changes they want to see in their lives.  What is manifestation and how does it work?  Click here to learn more about how to harness Manifestation in your own life to reach your goals.

Victimhood vs Self-Empowerment: Many people are aware that they have been victims in the past, and somehow they continue to be victims in the present.  Is it fate, or can we change that pattern?  Click here to learn more about the Formula for Self-Empowerment.

What is Rapport: No matter what personal or professional activities we're involved in, at some point we need to deal with other people.  And dealing with other people is sometimes extremely frustrating.  Rapport is how we can improve cooperation and commonality with other people.  Click here to learn more about building and maintaining rapport.

The Gatekeeper vs The Goal-getter: When we set goals, we have an intention for what we want, and somehow we often get sidetracked.  This is because the conscious and subconscious portions of our mind are in disagreement.  Click here to learn about the Gatekeeper conscious mind, and the Goal-getter subconscious mind, and how to get them to cooperate.

The Railroad Track of the Mind: So many of us have big goals and dreams for our lives, and we want to leave behind the mistakes of the past.  Yet we always seem to keep repeating those mistakes.  Click here to learn more about why this happens, and how to change it.

The Broom Closet of the Mind: You may have seen headlines or articles about how we only use 5% of our minds.  That's not entirely correct.  It turns out that we're using all of our mind, all of the time, but we're only aware of a tiny percentage of it.  Click here to learn more.

Why Willpower Usually Isn't Enough: How often have we decided that we want to make a change in our lives?  We think if we just apply enough willpower, we can push through to make changes.  Didn't work, did it?  It's not you - it's the way the mind works.  Click here to learn more, and how to actually be successful with making changes in your life.

How to Ask Empowering Questions:  How we use words and how we ask questions, often determine not only the answers we get but also the direction we move afterwards.  Asking an innocent question in the wrong way can sabotage a conversation, while asking that same question in a more constructive way can provide more constructive results.  Whether you're conversing with yourself or conversing with others, Click Here to learn more about how to ask empowering questions.

Priorities for the Subconscious: We often make decisions, with all the best intentions, and then we end up making other choices.  Why do we do that?  In short, because we've violated one of the priorities of the subconscious mind.  Click here to learn more about those priorities, and how to use them to achieve your goals.

The Myths of Communication: How many times have we been in conversation with someone, and we thought we were perfectly clear with our statements, and the other person took a completely different message?  That's due to how we each perceive the world, and how we do or do not find ways to bridge those differences.  Click here to learn more about how to make sure you successfully communicate.
